Home - Statement of Faith - Rally Schedule - Directions

Our purpose is...to spread the message of Jesus Christ through the preaching and the teaching of the Bible at regular services and during our Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Retreats.

The camp is available to other Christian groups to use with approval from the board and we encourage everyone to consider using these wonderful facilities for meetings, retreats, etc.  Our scheduled camp retreats provide adult and youth morning bible studies, love feasts, times of fellowship, afternoon youth activities for ages 13 and up, regular evening services, and a nightly youth campfire with singing. The camp was founded by Earl & Ethel Waterman in the mid-70's as a non-profit camp that is run completely on faith.  Support comes from the friends and family of the conference.

UPDATE ON BUILDING PROJECTS

The heating system was installed in the lower gray building this past Spring.  All of the rooms now have doors, electricity, ceiling lights, and beds in need of twin sheets.  We are getting ready to install the handicap bathroom, carpet in the rooms and hallway, and finish the interior wood trim.  Unfortunately, we are having to get an estimate to repair the lower gray building metal roof as it is leaking.  We have to remove the metal roof to lay new plywood, felt paper, and reinstall the metal roof in order to stop the leak.  We still need supplies for the building such as paint, wallpaper, carpeting, curtains, and misc. items to finish outfitting the rooms.  If you can donate time, skills, or would like to donate any of these items, please contact Jeff Gilman.

                    NOTES & NEWS                                                   evesvcjg.jpg (60597 bytes)

April 1, 2008
Youth Director, Herb Burton from Portsmouth Advent Christian Church will be coming to lead our youth group at the Spring Rally, and Ryan Carle will be coming to lead our youth group again at the Summer Rally.  We encourage you to bring youth with you to have fun and spend time with these Christian youth leaders.  Morning Bible Studies, fun afternoon activities, and songs around the campfire after the evening services are all experiences that every young person should have the opportunity to experience as well as learning about Jesus and what a difference He can make in their life!

God bless you,
Jeff

As we prepare for the rallies this year we hope that you have all had a good winter, and a blessed holiday season.  We have a very exciting Spring Rally planned with Rev. Michael Saunders, and his friend Steve Bleiler.  Steve is a professional actor, singer and performer.  These men are planning dramas and Bible instruction that will be a wonderful blessing.  In addition, we are working to finalize our plans to provide preschool and teen leaders.  Please pray that this will work out.  In the coming weeks we will be sending out a newsletter with additional information.  If you are not on the mailing list, please email me at the address listed at the top of this page.  We look forward to seeing you all at the rallies this year, and I hope you can come to all of them.

God bless you,
Jeff

Praise God!  We had a fantastic rally with a 25% increase in attendance.  Services hit 89-94 people, and it is estimated that we served over 500 meals.  All our expenses were met, but best of all God was present in all that we did.  We were blessed by a fantastic new cook and his family, a new Youth Director and his parents, new caretakers, and many other blessings throughout the weekend.  Rev. Penney and Pauline Phelps were a blessing to everyone.  If you were not able to make it you missed an exciting time.

As we closed on Sunday there was some extra time before lunch was ready.  For me, this was one of the best moments of the weekend as people shared how God had touched them in some way during the rally, and how their lives were blessed in some way.  We also had another opportunity to listen to a ladies accapella trio sing a beautiful song for us once more.  What a precious and special time this was.  Our new cook and other visitors were so blessed by the ministry of Harbinger that they have already gone home and started spreading the word to encourage others to come next year.  I hope you will too.  We were sad to see the Detrudes leave, but blessed that their church has grown so much that they are needed for fulltime ministry in Littleton.  At the same time we were blessed to be able to interview and make a decision to bring on our new caretakers, Mark and Korina.  They are a wonderful young Christian couple that desire to serve the Lord at Harbinger.  Mark has many skills and he has already started making a list of projects that he would like to see completed.  His enthusiasm, commitment to God, and desire to help us complete several outstanding maintenance items is wonderful.  Please pray for them as they take on this position and all that it entails. I pray that we will be a real blessing to them.

Over the coming year there are several building items from repairs to finishing painting, putting down carpeting/linoleum, changing electrical lines, and finish carpentry that needs to be done.  If you have any time in the year that you can come up to work on something, please let us know.  Volunteers to help us with projects small to large are always needed.  Harbinger is a beautiful place to share some of your time and labor for the Lord while also providing you with opportunities for prayer and spending time meditating on His Word day and night.

Next year we have several good speakers and you especially won't want to miss our Spring speaker, Michael Saunders as he and a friend do some plays during the evening rallies.  Click here for a 2008 brochure!  Give one to a friend or several friends!

God bless,
Jeff
