Our purpose is...to
spread the message of Jesus Christ through the preaching and the teaching of
the Bible at regular services and during our Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter
Retreats.
The camp is available to other
Christian groups to use with approval from the board and we encourage
everyone to consider using these wonderful facilities for meetings,
retreats, etc. Our scheduled camp retreats provide adult and youth
morning bible studies, love feasts, times of fellowship, afternoon youth
activities for ages 13 and up, regular evening services, and a nightly youth
campfire with singing. The camp was founded by Reverend's Earl & Ethel
Waterman in the mid-70's as a non-profit camp that is run completely on
faith. Support comes from the friends and family of the conference.

Many
thanks to the 30+ volunteers organized by Nick DeRaleau and our caretakers
in putting on a new roof over the caretaker's apartment. This work was
badly needed to stop the water leaks into the apartment, and repairs were
long overdue. God bless you!
There are plenty of
projects and work that always needs to be done. Both small and large
projects. If you can donate your time or send us a contribution to the building fund it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for
your support!
NOTES &
NEWS

September 28, 2009 Hello everyone,
We had a wonderful rally with Dr. Michael Saunders sharing about grace with
multimedia presentations, and his friend Steve Bleiler sharing dramatic
scenes
of Jesus and scripture. The days were filled with Adult Bible Studies thanks
to
the efforts of Pauline Phelps and Michael. Steve Cox volunteered to lead the
youth this time, and he did a great job. We had a lot of kids ranging from a
few weeks old up through 18+, and he kept them all busy with Bible Studies,
hikes, a trip to Chutters, games, singing and campfires. I know they loved
it.
Mary Spaide and Valerie Kemp entertained the little ones with songs,
stories,
games, and caramel covered apples. They had a great time as well. Our cook,
Nick did a wonderful job with the food and we ate well. Loren worked hard
again to provide tapes of the services and Bible Studies at no charge to
everyone that asked for them. We are very thankful for his dedication to
being at each rally to run our sound and to keep the tape ministry going.
Theresa Gilman wrote songs, directed the choir, played the piano, and simply
provided inspirational moments through music. Terry Saunders played for the
services which is always a blessing since we don't have any music for her to
read! I'm sure that I am leaving someone out so I'll apologize now for it.
We had many volunteers pitch in with the needs in the dining room, kitchen,
and many other areas. Many thanks go out to each one. The weather was
beautiful, the colors are changing, and a couple of people even got to see a
few snowflakes at 7:30 a.m. one morning.
I don't know what your plans are for 2010, and perhaps you do not know
either. But, I want to encourage you now to plan to attend the rallies next
year. Michael Saunders will be our Rally Programming Director for at least
2010, and I can assure you that he will be planning a full schedule with
morning, afternoon, and evening activities for all ages. You won't want to
miss any of these weekends. So, please plan to come to as many as you can
and I know God will bless you.
One last note, at our Fall Rally we discussed how our septic system for the
house with six guestrooms and the caretaker's apartment has failed. It will
cost about $8,000 (estimated costs are now $18,000)
to replace it. On Sunday morning we mentioned this need to the folks in
attendance, and they graciously pledged $6,000 towards the project. Please
consider sending a donation of any size to help support this project, and
other projects such as extending the heat in the caretaker's apartment or
replacing the two chimneys that are crumbling. Our weekend rallies normally
cover the expenses of the weekend, but they do not cover repairs such as
these. Your donations to the Building Fund enable us to keep Harbinger in
good repair so that the ministry can continue on. Please help us in any way
you can.
Thank you, God bless, and watch for future eMail newsletters to come out
closer to Christmas and throughout the year on a more regular basis.
In His Service,
Jeff Gilman

August 12, 2009 A beautiful funeral service was held for Rev. Waterman
on August 8th. Nearly 200 people came to the service to pay their
respects for this great Patriarch of the Advent Christian Denomination, and
the founder of Harbinger Bible Conference. He will be sorely missed, but we rejoice
that he has gone to his rest with no pain at 96 years old. God bless. Founder
Rev. Earl E. Waterman
passed away in his sleep on
July 12. Gifts in
