THE FRIDGE -

You've heard about it, come experience it!
Friday nights from
6:30-10:00 p.m.

Welcome to the Portsmouth Advent Christian Church youth page!
We're happy you stopped by.  We meet regularly and also hold special events from time to time.  Almost every week we offer the "Fridge" video game and cafe game night.  There are many types of games offered including multiplayer XBox games (like Halo2), and a food cafe is set up for young kids up through High School.  The main event is a Halo2 game tournament with several T.V.'s, and XBoxes connected together for multiplayer games. but if you don't enjoy video games there is a pool table, ping pong table, twister, and many other types of games.  Kids have fun, learn new skills, build relationships, study the Bible, and ultimately, learn to live for Christ in every aspect of life. This is a Christian ministry that’s entirely driven by a passion to evangelize and disciple today’s children. We want to provide a place for kids to meet with their Christian and non-Christian friends, learn biblical principles, and add important life skills to help them develop into well rounded adults.  Let us become a part of your kids’ busy schedules, and help focus young minds on what’s really important: a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ.  We teach children to apply the truths they learn to everyday situations. Children need a safe place where they  are encouraged to live out the truths of God’s Word.  After all, when they're bombarded with a wide variety of secular messages 15 hours a day, doesn’t it make sense to offer them a clear Christian alternative?

"Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven."  Visit SloppyNoodle.com

Portsmouth church hosts video game gathering for children
By PAT McGOWAN
Democrat Staff Writer

PORTSMOUTH — While parishioners of the Portsmouth Advent Christian Church may not all agree with his program, they can’t disagree with the results Pastor Russell Carle has received from The Fridge, his teenage-based video game...  click here

Church launches 'Xbox for Jesus' ministry
Youth outreach taps into video-game culture with gospel 'commercial breaks'

During this "commercial," Carle pursued the topic, asking the youth, "Why not live a bad life," if God loves us anyway?

"Why do I want to be good?" Carle asked. "When you be good, you feel good," he answered.

Alec paused for a moment.

"I like that commercial, that was a good one," he told Carle.
